By Ashish Kumar Mandal,janakpurdham,Nepal : The Dhanusha District Branch of the Nepal Red Cross Society has issued a public notice stating that its former chairperson, Naresh Prasad Singh, has not completed the handover of necessary materials and documents related to the branch.
According to the notice published by the branch, a registered letter was sent to Singh through the post on 25 Shrawan 2083. However, the letter was returned, and the notice states that he has still not appeared at the branch to complete the required handover.
Through the public notice, the branch has requested Singh to visit the branch and complete the handover within seven days from the date of publication of the notice. The notice further states that if he does not appear within the specified period, the necessary action will be initiated in accordance with the Nepal Red Cross Society’s statute.
As of 5 Ashoj 2083, there is also growing interest in whether the handover process has been completed. Since the branch has already issued a public notice setting a seven-day deadline, clarification is now awaited on whether the relevant materials and documents have been formally handed over to the organization.
In a social and humanitarian organization such as the Red Cross, the proper handover of institutional materials, records and documents following a change in office-bearers is an important part of institutional administration. Delays in the transfer of responsibilities can raise questions regarding record management and administrative continuity.
The branch has clearly stated in its notice that the former chairperson has been given seven days to complete the handover and that failure to appear within that period would result in further action under the organization’s statute. What steps the branch will take after the deadline is therefore also being closely watched.
However, no public response has so far been received from former chairperson Naresh Prasad Singh regarding the matter. If he makes his position or any clarification concerning the handover public, his response would provide an additional perspective on the issue.
