In the process, some animals also died. Eyewitnesses said that the fire which broke out around 12:30 pm was brought under control only by 6 pm. It is said that especially Mandal, Sahni and Muslim families live in the fire area. Hari Prasad Mandal, the head of Matihani Municipality, said that the situation of the poor and minority castes has become difficult.

After receiving the information about the fire in the city area, the municipal fire department, backhoe loader, employees, and the people’s representative, along with the city head mandal, reached the disaster site and started rescue operations on a war footing.

For fire control, 11 fire engines from Matihani Municipality, Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan Municipality, Bihar Fire Fighting Vehicle, Jaleshwar Municipality, Ramgopalpur Municipality, Kshireshwarnath Municipality, Gaushala Municipality, State Police Office, etc. The city head Mandal informed that the cooperation is remarkable.

In addition to this, the support of the Chief District Officer of Chief Mahottari, Assistant District Officer, Provincial Police Office and the heads of all the security agencies of the district will be unforgettable, said the Chief Mandal.

The emergency meeting of Matihani municipality has decided to give food, tripal and other materials and five thousand rupees to the victims. Chandrasekhar Sharma, chief administrative officer of Matihani municipality, has informed that Matihani municipality has distributed food, tripal, dol and mug with the help of Red Cross Society Mahottari branch.

It was seen that the residents of the city were openly appreciating the city chief Hari Prasad Mandal who managed to get emergency help within 1 hour.
