Butwal, Oct 21 : Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has insisted on ensuring victory to the candidates of the ruling party alliance for the protection of constitution and democratic system. He urged all to vote for the electoral alliance of ruling parties.

Addressing a joint orientation programme organized here for the cadres and leaders of the ruling alliance on Friday, Prime Minister Deuba who is also the President of the Nepali Congress, urged the dissent cadres and leaders not to be perturbed. “It is true all ticket-aspirants are not awarded election tickets.
There are several other spaces for adjustment,” he assured. NC President Deuba reminded that he was made the Prime Minister by the ruling parties at a time when the country was about to backslide to regressive path, so the ruling parties must be given votes. “The election this time is different from other. It is the fight of progressive political forces against regressive force,” he viewed and expressed the belief that the five-party alliance has the responsibility of protection of construction and system of federal democratic republic, and of country’s development and prosperity.

The candidates on behalf of ruling alliance must be voted honestly, he underscored. The CPN UML dissolved the House of Representatives twice and made headway to regression. Now, it has shown its true character by forging alliance with the parties similar to its vein, he commented. On the occasion, Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the ruling alliance forged the electoral alliance not for mere electoral victory but for protection of constitution, stability and economic development.
For the protection of country, the parties forged alliance based on ideological foundation. He urged the alliance cadres and leaders to be honest and give vote to the alliance candidates. He also insisted on ensuring victory to alliance candidates. Similarly, Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal claimed that the ruling alliance restored the constitution and federal republic as they suffered at the hand of UML Chair KP Oli.

Senior leader of Nepali Congress, Ramchandra Poudel, argued if the CPN UML won the election, people would lose their rights. “Current electoral alliance must not be regarded as a normal alliance. It is for protecting system,” he viewed. Acting Chairperson of Rastriya Janamorcha, Rasmiraj Nepali, also reminded that the alliance was against regression. Honest implementation of the agreement within the alliance is imperative, he stressed. Moreover, Home Minister and Nepali Congress leader Balkrishna Khand viewed national unity is present need. The electoral alliance is for development and prosperity, he added. (RSS)
