PM Dahal appeals to join hands in rescue, relief and treatment to quake victims

Kathmandu, Nov 4: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the government was serious in relief, rehabilitation and treatment to quake injured people. Taking to social site, Prime Minister Dahal appealed to all- political parties, private sector and civil society for collaboration and join hands in rescue, relief and rehabilitation of quake-affected people.

He mentioned that he reached the earthquake hit areas to take stock of damages caused by devastating earthquake, to listen pain of victims, to rescue the injured and to provide relief to quake survivors.

The earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale with its epicenter in Ramidanda of Barekot rural municipality-1 in Jajarkot occurred Friday night. PM Dahal had reached the earthquake affected areas along with medical team and relief materials this morning. He met the injured ones receiving treatment at different hospitals in Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim and enquired about their health condition.

Urging the injured one not to panic much, PM Dahal assured that government stands by them at this moment of crisis. Similarly, the government has already decided to provide Rs 50 million each to quake-hit Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim districts. Prime Minister Dahal has called the cabinet meeting for Sunday morning to make necessary decisions for the relief to quake survivors.
