Ashish Kumar Mandal, Matihani Municipality, (Mahottari): The inauguration of the 7th Municipal Level President Running Shield Competition 2081 was held today at the Matihani Stadium. The event was jointly inaugurated by Matihani Municipality’s Mayor Hari Prasad Mandal and the Chief District Officer of Mahottari, Lalbabu Kawari. Organized by Matihani Municipality, this two-day competition features participation from five secondary schools within the municipality.
During the opening ceremony, chaired by Mayor Hari Prasad Mandal, remarks were made by Chief District Officer Lalbabu Kawari, President of the Mahottari Press Federation Mahesh Das, Municipal Chairperson of LSP Nepal Shyam Kumar Mandal, Chief of the Health Branch Pawan Kumar Mandal, and other distinguished guests. The competition will include 23 types of sports, including volleyball, kabaddi, running, high jump, long jump, and more, as informed by the Chief of the Education Branch, Chandeshwar Sah.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Administrative Officer Chandrashekhar Sharma, Head of the National Research Office Mahottari Sudip Adhikari, Head of Mahottari Education Coordination Unit Rebika Amat, Ward Chairs of Matihani Municipality, executive members, ward members, branch heads of the municipality, ward secretaries, representatives from various political parties, the head of the Armed Police in Matihani, the head of Matihani Police Post, principals from various schools, journalists, teachers, and students.
