Aashish kumar mandal ,Matihani Municipality (Mahottari) :Agricultural technology equipment that is environment and women-friendly has been distributed today to farmers of wards 1, 3, 6, 7, and 9 of Matihani Municipality.
The equipment was handed over by the Mayor of Matihani Municipality, Mr. Hari Prasad Mandal, under the “Climate-Friendly Agriculture Project,” which is being implemented with the financial support of Koika and the technical assistance of GGI and GNI Nepal, in coordination with Matihani Municipality and Asman Nepal.
Under this project, various agricultural tools such as hand ridgers, soil tillers, weeding cultivators, push seeders, post hole diggers, staking ropes, and more, were distributed to different farmer groups of wards 1, 3, 6, 7, and 9, as informed by Mr. Chetan Thapa, the project manager of Asman Nepal.
The event was attended by Ward Chairpersons Nazir Mia and Kaleem Ansari of wards 3 and 6, Ward Member Ratnesh Lal Karn of ward 9, Agricultural Branch Chief Sandhya Sah, Agricultural Technician Tank Prasad Upadhyay, Agricultural Technician Mahendra Yadav from Asman Nepal, and the farmers.
