(Aashish kumar mandal) ,Matihani, (mahottari): A Mithila painting skill development training program has started today in Matihani Municipality. The training was officially inaugurated by the Mayor, Mr. Hari Prasad Mandal.

With the aim of spreading awareness against child marriage, the municipality has launched a one-month training program targeting adolescent girls. A total of 30 girls from Wards 6, 7, and 8 are participating in the training. According to Ms. Deepa Kumari Das, Head of the Women, Children, and Senior Citizens Division, the training is expected to support the girls in becoming self-reliant.

The program was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Administrative Officer of Matihani Municipality, Mr. Chandrashekhar Sharma. During the event, Principal of Rajkiya Sanskrit Secondary School Mr. Ishwari Paudel, Ward 7 Chairperson Mr. Jitnarayan Majhi, and other speakers shed light on the cultural and economic significance of Mithila painting.

The inauguration program was attended by Deputy Mayor Ms. Manju Devi Sah, Ward 6 Chairperson Mr. Kalim Ansari, Ward 8 Chairperson Mr. Ritesh Sah, Head of the Health Division Mr. Pawan Kumar Mandal, Principal of Ram Secondary School Mr. Shreesh Kumar Mishra, trainer Ms. Sulochana Karna, IT Officer Mr. Jay Kumar Yadav, Executive Member Ms. Sunakeshi Chaudhary, among others.
