JANAKPUR, May 24
A Covid-19 patient has escaped from an isolation centre at the Provincial hospital in Janakpur on Sunday morning.
According to the sources at the hospital, the fleeing patient is a middle-aged man with some mental issues. The person managed to flee isolation in his second attempt. On Saturday, he had tried escaping from the isolation facility and he also damaged the CCTV camera during the escape attempt.
Covid-19 positive patient getting out of the isolation centre has caused fear among locals in Janakpur where five cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed so far.

According to Deputy Inspector General of Police, Dhiraj Pratap Singh, the police has intensified search for the fleeing patient.
“We have deployed officers to find out the man,” said DIG Singh, who is also the chief of Province 2 Police. “Meanwhile, we have also increased our watch movements of covid-19 patients in the hospital.”
