6 of Shrawan, Janakpurdham : Rautahat, – Rautahat police have seized 133 kilograms of banned narcotic marijuana from a car. According to the police, the contraband was recovered from a car bearing the registration number Ba 3 Cha 6896, which was en route from Chandranigahpur to Gaur.
According to DSP Rajan Karki of the Area Police Office in Garuda, the incident took place on Tuesday morning during a routine vehicle check. When the police signaled the car to stop, the driver accelerated and attempted to flee. The police gave chase and later found the vehicle in a deep field, approximately 20 feet down, near Jhajh Khola in Garuda Municipality–5.
The individuals in the vehicle fled the scene through the sugarcane fields and are currently at large. A search operation is underway, said DSP Karki.
The police used a crane to recover the vehicle and, upon inspection, discovered the marijuana inside. Further investigation into the case is ongoing, according to the Area Police Office in Garuda.
