Matihani,(mahottari) : The “Vijaya Dashami, Diwali, and Chhath Festival Greetings Exchange Program” organized today by Matihani Municipality was successfully held with grandeur. The event was attended by Mayor Hari Prasad Mandal, Chief Administrative Officer Chandrashekhar Sharma, people’s representatives, municipal staff, as well as the chiefs of Matihani Police Post and Dhirapur Police Post.

Addressing the program, Mayor Hari Prasad Mandal stated that festivals like Dashain, Diwali, and Chhath unite society, while fostering tolerance, harmony, and social goodwill. Extending his best wishes to the residents, he expressed confidence that such festivals would contribute positively to the municipality’s development, peace, and prosperity.

Similarly, Chief Administrative Officer Chandrashekhar Sharma emphasized the importance of celebrating religious and cultural festivals as shared community events. He highlighted that the municipality has been continuously working on citizen-friendly services, infrastructure development, and social strengthening. He urged all residents to spread the message of joy, prosperity, and unity during the festive season.

Representatives, staff members, and security officials present at the event also expressed their belief that the positive energy brought by these festivals would further strengthen peace, harmony, and mutual trust within the municipality.
