Ashish Kumar Mandal, Matihani Municipality (Mahottari): Today, Matihani Municipality officially launched the HPV vaccination campaign along with the routine immunization program. On this occasion, an orientation program was conducted for the municipal-level vaccination coordination committee and other stakeholders.
The Mayor, Hari Prasad Mandal, attended the event as the chief guest. Highlighting the importance of the vaccination campaign, he emphasized prioritizing vaccination programs to ensure the health and future of children.
The event was attended by Chief Administrative Officer Chandrashekhar Sharma, local representatives, health workers, educators, and representatives from various organizations. The HPV vaccine is believed to be effective in protecting girls and adolescents from cervical cancer.
Health workers provided participants with information about the vaccine, its effectiveness, and potential challenges. The municipality also announced plans to enhance public awareness to make the routine immunization campaign more effective.
The municipality called for the cooperation and collaboration of all stakeholders to ensure the success of the vaccination campaign.
