21 Magh, Jaleshwar, (Mahottari) : With the aim of transforming the tourism landscape of Madhesh Province, an ultra-modern five-star hotel, “Sangrila Premier Resort & Casino,” is set to be constructed at Prakauli in Jaleshwar Municipality, Mahottari. The ambitious project, being launched with major investment from Satya Group, was officially announced by the Group’s Managing Director, Dharma Mandal. With an estimated total cost of around NPR 1.2 billion, the project is being viewed as a potential game-changer for border-area tourism.

Taking advantage of its strategic location near the Nepal–India border at Bhitthamod, the increasing flow of Indian tourists, and the lack of high-end hotel and entertainment infrastructure in the Madhesh region, the project has been designed to tap into a strong and growing market. As a result, the resort has already begun attracting the attention of business houses and private investors from the very beginning. According to the investment structure, approximately 70 percent of the total cost will be financed through bank loans, while 30 percent will come from equity investment, opening doors for co-investment and strategic partnerships.

The resort will feature 75 international-standard luxury rooms, an international-level casino targeting foreign tourists, a state-of-the-art banquet hall for grand weddings and corporate conferences, and a premium club. Once completed, the project is expected to generate direct employment for more than 200 local people, creating a significant positive impact on the local economy.
Sharing details about the project, Satya Group’s Managing Director Dharma Mandal stated that there is a long-term vision to develop Jaleshwar and its surrounding areas into a major hub for border tourism and entertainment. According to him, the resort will not be just a hotel, but a comprehensive center of high-end services, entertainment, and business opportunities, offering attractive returns to investors. He emphasized that there will be no compromise on quality and management in the execution of the project.

With construction expected to begin soon and operations targeted within the next three years, the resort will integrate religious tourism, casino tourism, and event-based revenue streams. This is expected to benefit not only Jaleshwar, but also contribute significantly to tourism promotion, service sector expansion, and economic activity across Mahottari district and the wider Madhesh Province through a strong multiplier effect.
Overall, Sangrila Premier Resort & Casino is poised to become a new identity for Jaleshwar. With strong future potential, the project is establishing itself as a long-term, high-return investment opportunity for investors ready to make the right decision today.
