Kathmandu, June 4: Vice President of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) Bimalendra Nidhi and Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal Upendra Yadav have discussed about the reconstitution of the Province 2 government. During a meeting held today at the Nidhi’s private residence in New Baneshwor, the two discussed about the political equation between the states and the federation, according Ramji Dahal, Press Adviser to Nidhi.
Chairman Yadav was of the view of going on with the alliance of political parties including the NC formed at the center, urging the NC to participate in the Province 2 government as well. Vice President Nidhi took this proposal positively and requested to give the post of Chief Minister of Province no 2 government to Nepali Congress as the JSP has run the province government for three years.
Chair Yadav however had urged the Nepali Congress to join the government and not stake claim for the post of Chief Minister. Both leaders also held discussions on finalising the name of Province no 2 and its permanent capital, press advisor Dahal said. Chair Yadav has gone to Janakpur today and further discussions on this topic would be held after he returns to Kathmandu.(RSS)
