Kathmandu: The Ministry of Home Affairs has called the relatives of Aarti Sah, who has been protesting for 156 days, for a discussion demanding justice for her daughter.

Home has called the police chief of Dhanusha police headquarters, Vishwaraj Khadka, and invited Sah’s relatives for a discussion. Addressing Aarti’s father Vinod Prasad Sah, the home has written to the victim on Monday to send a representative for negotiations.

Aarti was found dead in her home in Dhanusha on 7th June. The family members of the deceased Sah have been protesting for a long time demanding justice, saying that their daughter was killed in the name of dowry and that the investigation into the incident was weak.

They made a condition that they would not talk to the government until Dhanusha Police Chief Vishwaraj Khadka was removed from the position saying that the incident had been poorly investigated and Khadka had been beaten and mistreated.

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister’s Private Secretary Vijay Gautam informed that Khadka was removed from his duties and recalled to the police headquarters yesterday. Khadka was transferred to Dhanusha on December 12, 2079.
