Kathmandu, Nov 9 : President Bidya Devi Bhandari here today launched a book titled “Maile Bujheko Gandhi” (The Gandhi I know). The book was launched marking the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi known as the ‘Father of the Nation’ in India.
In an event at the Office of the President-Shital Niwas-President Bhandari unveiled the book on Gandhi in presence of Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra. The book was published by the Indian Embassy in Nepal in association with the BP Koirala Nepal-India Foundation.
The book comprises Nepali point of view on the Gandhi who is known for leading the ‘Quit India’ movement to drive away the British away from India. Altogether 25 Nepalis luminaries from various walks of life have presented their views on Gandhi in the book. It is believed that the book would help augment the understanding of Gandhi among the Nepali youths.(RSS)
