Janakpurdham. : Chhath, the festival of sun worship which is celebrated for four days, has ended today. Chhath has ended after worshiping the rising sun and offering arghya with cow’s milk.

Devotees stayed awake all night on the banks of rivers, ponds and ponds in various districts of the Terai including the capital Kathmandu to mark the end of Chhath and worship the rising sun god.

Devotees who offered arghya to the setting sun and Chhathi Mata yesterday, today concluded Chhath by worshiping the rising sun.The main ponds of Janakpurdham are Gangasagar, Dhanush Sagar, Argjasar, Ratna Sagar, Maharaj Sagar and Lakshmi Sagar of Matihani (Mahottari).

Devotees have offered prayers at Guhyeshwari, Gahanapokhari, Kamalpokhari and other ponds and rivers including Vagmati, Nakhkhu and Bishnumati in Kathmandu.
