The government presented an annual budget of Rs 1.47 trillion for fiscal year 2020-2021 on Thursday .Total budget was 4% less than that of previous fiscal year i.e. 58 billion.
Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada unveiling the federal budget said that total sum of Rs 948.94 billion for recurrent expenditure , Rs 352.91 billion for capital expenditure and Rs 172.79 billion for financing.
The biggest increase for the upcoming fiscal year’s budget is in health sector ,given the Covid-19 pandemic.The government has raised the budget for the health sector to Rs 90.69 billion from Rs 68.78 billion for the current fiscal year ,an increase by 32 percent.
