Janakpur. The Madhesh Province Government has directed four health workers at Jaleshwar Provincial Hospital in Mahottari to submit clarification within three days regarding negligence in service delivery.
Under the instruction of Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh, the Ministry of Health and Population has ordered Medical Officers Dr. Shikha Adhikari and Dr. Sadre Alam, along with staff nurses Mandika Kumari Yadav and Ranjita Sah, to provide a written response.
The action has been initiated based on complaints that patients faced difficulties in receiving treatment, health workers failed to fulfill their responsibilities effectively, and negligence was observed in service delivery.
Earlier, representatives of various organizations and stakeholders had submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Singh in Janakpurdham, stating that patients were compelled to lose their lives due to the lack of proper treatment services at the hospital. Following this, the Chief Minister directed the ministry to conduct an immediate investigation.
The ministry’s letter stated: “If a clear response is not received within three days, necessary action will be taken.”
Health Minister Shatrudhan Prasad Singh also warned that legal action would be taken against anyone found guilty of negligence in service. Similarly, the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers stated that any employee under the provincial government who shows incompetence or negligence in service delivery will face disciplinary action.
